Pomona Police Make Homeless Woman’s Return to Her Family Possible

POMONA, Calif. – A homeless woman will soon be reunited with her family in Texas after coming in contact with Pomona Police officers on Wednesday afternoon.

The chance meeting took place after the officers made contact with the young woman near Holt Avenue and Eleanor Street. The officers learned that she had been homeless for around a year and has been in Pomona for the past several months. She shared that she had family in Texas but was unable to get there. The officers made contact with her family and they expressed that they wanted her home. Once the information was confirmed and officers knew she had a place to stay once in Texas, the Pomona Police Department purchased her a ticket back to Dallas, Texas.
