POMONA, Calif. – A frantic 911 call reporting that a 1-year-old girl was choking and not breathing was received by dispatchers on the night of Saturday, March 30, 2019.
At around 8:00 p.m. a Pomona police officer heard the report that was broadcasted for service at 1147 Holt Avenue and responded. Officer Hunt arrived to the family and several nearby residents near the mother and father, who were holding the baby girl. Officer Hunt grabbed the child, turned her onto her stomach and stuck her back several time. The item she was choking on dislodged from her throat and she began breathing again.
Paramedics responded to the scene and transported the girl to the hospital, where she is listed in good condition.
