RANCHO CUCAMONGA – A 25-year-old Rancho Cucamonga man who was out of jail on Post Release Community Supervision (PRCS) was arrested for meeting a minor for sexual acts.
Authorities said that on November 3, 2018, they learned that a black man was approaching teens in the Target parking lot, located on Foothill Boulevard. The witnesses reported that he was attempting to sell the teens marijuana and passing out business cards which included his name and his phone number. Deputies arrived, but the suspect had already fled the scene.
The following day deputies also learned that the same man took a ride from an underaged girl and knowing she was underaged, inappropriately touched her and asked her to engage in sexual acts with him. The girl dropped the subject off at a convenience store, and she was able to get his name and phone number. Through investigation, the suspect was identified as Tony Calloway.
In order to make contact with and to arrest Calloway, an undercover meeting was made with him by a deputy posing as an underage female who was meeting to engage in sexual acts with him. On Monday, November 5, 2018, Calloway went to the meeting place and noticed the undercover deputies there. He fled on foot but was captured a short time later. Calloway was arrested for meeting a minor for sex and violation of the terms of his PRCS. He is being held without bail.
Authorities have information leading them to believe that Calloway has met with other minor females in various Rancho Cucamonga parking lots in an attempt to engage in sexual acts with them.
Detectives are releasing the current booking photo of Calloway. If anyone has been victimized by Calloway or if anyone has information regarding this investigation, they are urged to contact the Rancho Cucamonga Police Department.
