Rancho Cucamonga Woman Arrested for Stabbing her Boyfriend in the Head

RANCHO CUCAMONGA, Calif. – A Rancho Cucamonga woman was arrested for stabbing her boyfriend, authorities said.

On Wednesday, June 19, 2019, deputies from the Rancho Cucamonga station responded to the report of a stabbing at the Creekside Alta Loma Apartments located at  10757 Lemon Avenue. Deputies learned that the boyfriend went to visit Mia Caulfield, 27, and determined that she was heavily intoxicated. Caulfield was involved in an argument with her roommate, who left the apartment to allow her to cool off.  Caulfield’s boyfriend called the roommate saying he needed help because she had just stabbed him.

Deputies learned that the roommate’s brother was still in the apartment with Caulfield. The victim, Caulfield’s boyfriend was bleeding profusely from his head, officials said. “As deputies approached the apartment’s open patio door, they saw Caulfield still holding the knife and the roommate’s brother sitting on the couch,” said Rancho Cucamonga Sheriff’s officials.  “Deputies were able to evacuate the brother and take Caulfield into custody.” She is being held at the West Valley Detention Center and her bail is set at $50,000.
