VICTORVILLE – Around 50 people went to a candlelight vigil at Ricky’s Bar, a Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender (LGBT) bar located on the 13700 block of Hesperia Road in Victorville Sunday night.
The vigil began at 9:00 p.m. and speakers asked for prayers and solidarity for the casualties in the Sunday, June 12, 2016, mass shooting at The Pulse gay nightclub in Orlando, Florida.
Some are left to wonder if this shooter planned the attack to take place in the month of June, which is LGBT Pride Month. The bar collected donations at the Sunday night event but are planning a larger fundraiser for the victims of the Orlando shooting.
Meanwhile, a Go Fund Me account set up for the shooting victims has collected close to $1.2 million.
