Riverside Man Arrested For Having Sex With a Minor in Exchange for Gifts

RIVERSIDE – A 39-year-old Riverside man was arrested for the unlawful sex with minor authorities said.

The investigation into the sexual intercourse with a minor began on Tuesday, December 19, 2017. Detectives from the Riverside Police Department Sexual Assault and Child Abuse unit were informed that the suspect, Dennis Shea, allegedly committed several criminal acts of sexual intercourse with a minor in the Riverside Arlington neighborhood

Shea allegedly used several social media applications to offer the female victim gifts in exchange for sex acts. During the occurrence of the criminal behaviors which occurred in his home in the 3400 block of Wilbur Street, Shea took pictures and video of the victim. Through investigation, detectives learned that Shea is under investigation by the San Bernardino Police Department for similar crimes occurring in San Bernardino at the paralegal business the suspect owned.

Shea was arrested on Wednesday, January 3, 2018, and was booked into the Robert Presley Detention Center for unlawful sex with a minor, sodomy of a minor under the age of 18, and lewd acts with a minor. Authorities believe there may be other victims who have not yet come forward.
