RIVERSIDE – A 34-year-old Riverside man was killed in a single-vehicle traffic collision on Thursday night. At around 10:30 p.m. the collision on Arlington Avenue and Sunset Ranch occurred. Police and Fire personnel responded to the scene where they found Patel Hiral, the driver, dead on arrival.

“The initial investigation and witness statements indicate that a silver 2017 Buick Regal was being driven by a 34-year-old resident of Riverside northbound on Arlington Avenue at a high rate of speed, Riverside Police officials said.. “The Buick struck the center median on the east side of the intersection at Sunset Ranch before going across the eastbound lanes of Arlington Avenue and striking a retaining wall and a street light pole on the south side of the street.”
