RIVERSIDE, Calif. – A teen girl was walking on the sidewalk in the 6200 block of Rutland Avenue in the Arlanza neighborhood when a man attempted to kidnap her.
On Tuesday, August 6, 2019, between 8:00 and 8:30 a.m. a call was made to Riverside Police regarding an attempted kidnapping. The girl said that a Hispanic man approached her from a parked 2010-2013 white Toyota Tundra 4-door pickup truck with dark-tinted windows. The suspect grabbed the girl and attempted to force her into the truck and struck her with a metal object. The girl was able to fight the suspect off and run away. The suspect got into his vehicle and fled.
He is described as being in his 30’s, 5’5” tall, thin build, dark or tanned skin, round face, and clean-shaven. He was wearing a charcoal gray t-shirt, black jeans, and tan work boots.
