RIVERSIDE, Calif. – A road rage incident led to the arrest of a 28-year-old Riverside man on Monday.
At around 10:52 p.m. officers from the Riverside Police department responded to a non-injury traffic accident at Van Buren Boulevard and Jurupa Avenue. The victim told police that he was driving when the other driver approached his vehicle at a high rate of speed. The driver closely followed behind the victim until he felt he was able to pass. As the suspect passed, he unintentionally crashed into the victim’s car, causing both vehicles to stop.
The suspect, later identified as Tamer Rabadi exited his vehicle with a bat. He approached the victim who remained seated in his vehicle. He lifted the bat and swung at the driver’s side window. The glass broke and the victim was nearly struck in the head by the bat. The victim pepper sprayed Rabadi and called 9-1-1. Rabadi attempted to leave but was unable to because of the pepper spray. He was detained by officers and was booked into jail for assault with a deadly weapon and vandalism.
