A Sacramento County Sheriff’s Deputy turned herself into jail on Thursday after a warrant was issued for her arrest for allegedly having sex with a 16-year-old.
Detectives from the Folsom Police Department obtained the arrest warrant for Shauna Bishop, 44, of Citrus Heights, on Thursday, June 13, 2019. Bishop allegedly had sexual contact with a minor who she knew. Detectives found evidence that Bishop had intercourse with the teen. Authorities said that although she is a deputy sheriff, she did not meet the victim through her work and the alleged acts did not occur while she was on duty. Detectives do not believe there are any other victims.
Bishop surrendered on Thursday to the Sacramento County Jail. She was charged with Unlawful Sexual Intercourse with a minor, Oral Copulation with a Minor, and molesting a child.
