SAN BERNARDINO – A 21-year-old San Bernardino probationer was arrested for the possession of a firearm officials said.
On Saturday at around 3:45 a.m. deputies from the Central Station who were patrolling near Lynwood Drive and Ironwood Street in the City of San Bernardino when they noticed Diangelo Sandy sitting on the curb in a residential area. Due to the time, deputies made contact with Sandy to see if he needed assistance or the reason why he was in the neighborhood.
Sandy, who gave deputies a false name was searched for weapons. During the search, a loaded Ruger semi-auto pistol in a holster was found on his waistband along with extra ammunition. Sandy’s identity was confirmed through fingerprints. Deputies learned that Sandy was on Felony Probation for being a felon in possession of a firearm. Sandy was arrested without incident and was booked back into the Central Detention Center.
