SPRING VALLEY LAKE – A 39-year-old Spring Valley Lake man was arrested for the murder of his 66-year-old stepfather authorities said.
At around 10:06 a.m. deputies responded to t12684 Cedar Drive in Spring Valley Lake when a neighbor reported that a homeowner had been assaulted. When deputies arrived, they located the victim, identified as Victor Rosales, suffering from upper body trauma. Rosales was rushed to a local hospital where he was pronounced deceased just after 11:00 a.m.
Through investigation, including interviews, it was determined that Mark Fuller, Rosales’ stepson was the last person at the home with Rosales. Deputies began searching Fuller, who was located late Monday afternoon near Deep Creek, where he was taken into custody.
The motive is not being released by authorities at this time. An autopsy will be conducted to determine the cause and manner of death. Mark Fuller was booked for Murder at High Desert Detention Center and is being held without bail.
