Upon police arrival, and the subject walked out of the home, and into the front yard with a gun visible in his waistband,
Officers attempted to make contact with the suspect, who ran back inside his home to barricade himself. Officers surrounded the home and requested a response from the Barstow Police Department’s Special Response Team and Crisis Negotiation Team. Finally, the negotiations came to an end four hours later, when the suspect exited his home and was taken into custody without incident.
