LANCASTER – A suspected drunk driver is deceased after crashing head-on into a Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department deputy’s patrol vehicle on Sunday.
The collision occurred on Sunday, March 11, 2018, at around 1:40 p.m. on North 15th Street West and West Avenue F in the City of Lancaster. The deputy in the marked black and white patrol vehicle was struck head on by a vehicle traveling on the wrong side of the road as he attempted to flee from the California Highway Patrol.
The driver of the civilian driver was pronounced dead at the scene and the deputy was transported to the hospital and remains in stable condition. Authorities are not releasing any other information at this time.
