POMONA, Calif. – A 24-year-old Pomona man was arrested after threatening his parents during a family disturbance on Tuesday evening.
At around 7:46 p.m. police were dispatched to the 900 block of Pavillion Drive in the City of Pomona for the report of a family disturbance. While investigating police officers learned that Hunter Gonzales made threats against his parents. Gonzales was last seen in the garage of the home. Officers attempted to make contact with Gonzales but he refused to exit the garage or to talk with police.
The SWAT Team was called to assist when officers learned that the suspect was possibly armed with a handgun. Gonzales surrendered around an hour later. He was taken into custody without further incident. No one was injured as a result of the incident.
