TEMECULA, Calif. – A young family, on a strict budget went to WinCo Foods in the City of Temecula on Monday night to grab some food to cook for dinner.
Arleene Carrera said that she was watching her 1-year-old daughter as the cashier was checking them out. Her boyfriend was given the total, so he attempted to pay, only his card was declined. Slightly embarrassed, they stepped aside to check their balance. While doing so as quickly as possible, the woman behind them in line handed them a receipt, Carrera said. She told them that she paid for their food.
Carrera said that they were shocked and thanked her. “I wished I could hug her and tell her what a wonderful person she is for doing this for my family,” said Carrera in a Temecula Talk Facebook group post.
