TWENTYNINE PALMS, Calif. – A Twentynine Palms grandmother was arrested for the abuse of her 8-month-old granddaughter.
The baby girl was taken by family members to Loma Linda University Medical Center (LLUMC) for an x-ray exam. During the exam, pediatricians found that the victim’s right arm was fractured. The injury was determined to be consistent with child abuse. Investigators learned that the injury to the 8-month-old victim occured when she was under the care of her paternal grandmother, 49-year-old Felicia Howard while she was at her Twentynine Palms home.
Following an extensive investigation, Howard was arrested on Thursday, July 25, 2019. She was booked at the Central Detention Center for Willful Cruelty to a Child.
