Two in Custody for Murder of Girl Found in Duffel Bag

HACIENDA HEIGHTS, Calif. – Two unidentified people are in custody for the death of the girl found in a duffel bag near a Hacienda Heights trail.

The family of the small child has come forward recently to identify the child found dumped in a duffel bag near an equestrian trail.  Since the discovery of the girl whose upper body stuck partially out of the bag and apparently was tossed from the roadway landing near the trail, authorities have attempted to identify her. Sheriff’s officials are yet to confirm the identity or any other information due to the investigation.

The family showed up at the public memorial stating the little girl was 9-year-old Trinity Love Jones. Her father also publicly confirmed it was his daughter. “It’s crazy how I have heard nothing about a little girls body being found stuffed in a suitcase until this morning,” said Anthony Jones on a Facebook post. “This was my youngest daughter who I have been reaching out to only to have conflict. why would you not take her to her dad instead of killing her?” He said that her identity has been confirmed using DNA. He also said that his daughter had a chipped tooth that also helped to confirm.

Meanwhile, two have been detained authorities said.  Although it is unknown if the arrest is related, Trinity’s mother’s boyfriend, Emiel Hunt according to court records, was arrested on an unidentified felony charge early Saturday morning. He is being held in lieu of $2 million bail for an undisclosed charge.

“It’s crazy, I [have] been asking her and this dude to let me see my daughter,” said Anthony Jones, the father of Trinity. “Just bring me my daughter and yet still they chose this option.”

Anthony Jones has asked the community to not support any of the current Go Fund Me Accounts circulating at this time.
