VICTORVILLE – Two young Victorville women were arrested after an alcohol and candy theft lead to a physical altercation on Tuesday afternoon.
At around 2:25 p.m. Diamond Robertson, 20, and Cheyanne Stroud, 19, went into the Stater Bros. Market located at 15235 Hook Boulevard in the City of Victorville. The two women grabbed alcohol and candy and attempted to leave the store.
As they walked toward the exit, employees made contact with Robertson and Stroud and a physical altercation took place. Both women were arrested and booked into the High Desert Detention Center for robbery and have since been transferred to West Valley Detention Center, where they are being held in lieu of $100,000 bail.
Victorville Sheriff’s Station Spokeswoman Mara Rodriguez said that no serious injuries were reported as a result of the incident. Both Robertson and Stroud are scheduled to appear at the Victorville Superior Court on Thursday afternoon.
