VICTORVILLE – A homeless Victorville couple who were located over four years following sexual abuse allegations made by their child in August 2013, authorities said.
The initial investigation began when the 5-year-old victim reported the sexual abuse by biological parents, Roy Ling, 35, and Sara Wilson, 32, both of Victorville. The family was homeless at the time and although an investigation was initiated, the couple was not immediately located. Months later, in March 2014, Detectives from the Specialized Investigations Division, Crime Against Children Detail assumed the investigation. Still, they were unable to find Ling and Wilson since they were still without a home.
The San Bernardino County Homeless Outreach and Proactive Enforcement – HOPE Team located the couple in a Victorville riverbed area. The investigation was reignited and deputies learned that Ling and Wilson may have also committed sexual acts on their dogs. On February 14, 2018, using the information collected during the investigation an arrest warrant was issued for the couple. Ling and Wilson were located near Cottonwood and E Street in the City of Victorville and were booked into the High Desert Detention Center for or Lewd and Lascivious Acts with a Child and their bail was set at $200,000 each.
