VICTORVILLE, Ca. – A 22-year old Victorville man was arrested after leading deputies on a pursuit on Sunday night.
At around 8:20 p.m., the Victorville station deputy attempted to stop a 1997 Acura on Palmdale Road near El Evado. “The driver of the car failed to yield to the deputy, who was in a marked patrol vehicle with emergency lights and siren activated,” said Victorville Sheriff’s Station Spokeswoman Mara Rodriguez. “The driver led deputies on a vehicle pursuit lasting approximately seven minutes, during which time the driver drove at a high rate of speed and violated multiple vehicle codes.”
The driver eventually stopped the vehicle on Estero Road near El Evado Road, where he and his passenger both fled on foot. Both were detained in the area. Christopher Elish Kessee, 22, of Victorville was arrested for Evading a Police Officer with Disregard for Safety. He was booked at the High Desert Detention Center. Solomon Kessee, 19, of Victorville was identified as the passenger and was not arrested.
The case will be forwarded to the District Attorney’s office for review and consideration of additional charges for Christopher and charges on Solomon.
