Victorville Man Arrested After Stabbing His Sister and Grandmother

VICTORVILLE – A 20-year-old Victorville man is behind bars after a stabbing that injured three, including his sister and his grandmother officials said.

On Tuesday, July 10, 2018, at around 8:47 p.m. deputies from the Victorville Station responded to the Casa Del Sol Apartments, located at 14250 Borego Road for the report of a stabbing. When they arrived they learned that Joseph Mosby, was involved in a verbal altercation with a 32-year-old man. As the altercation escalated, Mosby produced a knife and attempted to stab the victim. The knife broke and caused minor injury to the victim’s arm.

Mosby went back to his apartment and grabbed another knife and began stabbing his 29-year-old sister several times. As his 69-year-old grandmother attempted to stop the stabbing, she was stabbed in her leg. The male victim refused medical attention, the 29-year-old sister was airlifted to a trauma center with multiple stab wounds, and his 69-year-old grandmother was transported to a local hospital.

Mosby was arrested and booked into the High Desert Detention Center for Attempted Murder. He is being held in lieu of $1 million bail. He is scheduled to appear at the Victorville Superior Court on Thursday, July 12, 2018.
