VICTORVILLE – A Victorville man was arrested after stealing from and threatening an employee at the Quick Stop Smoke Shop, located in the 14300 block of Seventh Street on Tuesday.
At around 7:40 a.m. on Tuesday, October 18, 2016, deputies from the Victorville station responded to a call reporting that a male suspect went into the store and stole several items.
“The employee tried to stop the suspect, 29-year-old Jonathan Arnold of Victorville, who then made a motion to the employee that he had a gun,” said Victorville Sheriff’s Department spokeswoman Mara Rodriguez.
When the employee again tried to stop the suspect, the suspect tried to hit him. The suspect fled the location with the merchandise but was later located by a deputy and was arrested. No weapons were located in the suspects possession and he was booked into the High Desert Detention Center for burglary.
