VICTORVILLE, CA. – A 30-year-old Victorville man was arrested for the murder of a 31-year-old man at the Shady Oasis Kampground, authorities said.
On Friday, August 13, 2021, at 11:47 a.m., deputies from the Victorville Station responded to the 16500 Block of Stoddard Wells Road at the Shady Oasis Kampground for the reports of shots fired. While responding to the shots fired call, dispatchers received a call from a hospital reporting that a male subject was in the emergency room suffering from gunshot wounds. The male victim died as a result of his injuries a short time later.
When the deputies arrived they found a crime scene at a tent within the Shady Oasis Campground. Homicide Detectives responded to the scene and assumed the investigation. The investigation determined that the suspect was Aaron Michael Miller. Miller was located on Saturday, August 14, 2021, just before 6:00 p.m. in the 15600 block of Sitting Bull Street. He was arrested without incident and was booked at the High Desert Detention Center for murder. He is being held in lieu of $1,000,000 bail.
