VICTORVILLE, Ca. – A Victorville man was arrested after an argument led to a stabbing on Monday.
Sheriff’s officials said that at around 3:48 p.m., Buddie Pauldo, 55, of Victorville, and Frederick Clayton, 43, also of Victorville, were involved in a verbal altercation near Desert Nails and the Smoke Shop located at 14520 7th Street in the City of Victorville. During the verbal altercation, Clayton took out a cane sword and stabbed Pauldo in his abdomen.
Clayton was arrested and booked at the High Desert Detention Center for attempted murder. Pauldo was transported to a trauma center for treatment. Victorville Sheriff’s Spokeswoman Mara Rodriguez said that his condition is unknown at this time but he is expected to survive.
