VICTORVILLE – A 22-year-old Victorville man was arrested after a theft from the Vallarta Supermarket located at 12351 Mariposa Road on Tuesday. At around 1:50 p.m. deputies from the Victorville station responded to the report of merchandise being stolen from the store.
When the suspect, later identified as Jose Meza was confronted by the employees about the stolen merchandise he pulled two knives out of his clothing to threaten the victims. Meza fled the location and was located shortly after by deputies.
He was positively identified, arrested and booked into the High Desert Detention Center for robbery and criminal threats. Meza is being held in lieu of $100,000 bail.
