Victorville Man Stabbed Multiple Times; Circumstances Remain Unknown

VICTORVILLE – A 39-year-old Victorville transient was transported to the hospital after being stabbed multiple times on Monday.

The incident was reported at around 1:50 a.m. with the initial report indicating that there was a gunshot victim at the Arco AMPM located at 16869 D Street in the City of Victorville. Deputies from the Victorville Sheriff’s Station and American Medical Response (AMR) responded to the scene to find that the man was suffering from approximately six stab wounds.

“He would not cooperate with deputies in regards to any investigation,” said Victorville Station Spokeswoman Mara Rodriguez.  “It appears he was only interested in having his wounds cleaned.” One of the deputies at the scene responded to an incident last week when the same victim had been assaulted and did not want to make a report. A 24/7 Headline News reporter heard the deputy say, “If you do not go to the hospital, you are going in the back of my patrol car.”

Authorities spent over 30 minutes attempting to convince the victim to accept medical transport and were forced to strap him onto the gurney for his safety as he attempted to get off several times. The victim hesitantly went with medical personnel who were overheard saying, “Sir, we are just trying to save your life here.” The victim, who remained stable and talking remains uncooperative with the investigation, providing no information. No other information is available at this time.
