VICTORVILLE – A Victorville mother was arrested after accidentally leaving her toddler daughter inside a vehicle in the sweltering afternoon heat.
On Wednesday, July 25, 2018, Carmen Larose, 42, returned to her home in the 11900 block of Elliot Way in the City of Victorville after running errands with her 20-month-old daughter. Through investigation, it was learned that Larose got out of het vehicle and went inside the house. She returned to her vehicle around 30 minutes later to run more errands and discovered she had left her toddler in the vehicle.
Larose was inside holding her unresponsive daughter when the first responding deputy arrived. The deputy immediately rendered aid to the toddler until emergency medical personnel arrived. The toddler was airlifted to a trauma center for treatment. The toddler remains hospitalized and is in critical condition. Larose was arrested and booked at High Desert Detention Center for cruelty to a child.
