Sick of being restricted by that never comfortable bra? Jealous that your male half who can tan without those upper body tan lines?
In honor of Woman’s Equality Day, which is Friday, August 26th many will be celebrating with “Go Topless Day”. “Go Topless Day” this year will be on Sunday, August 28th. This is the 8th year for this event, which is observed in many U.S. cities.
Women’s Equality day is observed on the day when women earned the right to vote in 1920. If women are equal, why must they still deal with abrasions caused by a bra underwire gone awry? Why can they still not go out and tan their upper body the same way their male family and friends do?
For some, celebrating this day will be completely legal but others may choose to celebrate the day in the comfort of their own home.
GoTopless.org has a “Boob Map” with celebrations going on all across the United States. Some of these celebrations will be totally uncovered while others will be “censored” by using pasties.
All who are planning to celebrate are urged to find out the laws in their area. GoTopless.org has a map for that too but they still encourage those celebrating to check with the county and city which they plan to celebrate
Of course, not that all would agree but to some, “Go Topless Day” was the obvious next step for women’s equality in the 21st century.
