WICHITA FALLS, TX. – A woman has been banned from her local Walmart store after eating half of a cake and expecting to only pay for the uneaten half at checkout.
Police said that the Texas woman, who has not been identified, went to the Walmart store located at 5131 Greenbriar Road in Wichita Falls on Tuesday. She walked to the bakery section and ate half of the cake while walking through the store, police said. She then went to pay for the cake but said she wanted half off since she was only buying half of the cake.
The woman continued to demand the discount on the cake, leading employees to call the police. The police arrived at around 8:00 p.m. Police explained to the woman that since she ate half of the cake prior to arriving at checkout that she would have to pay for the entire cake. The woman did eventually pay the full price, but was asked not to return to the store.
