HESPERIA – A 44-year-old female motorcyclist was injured after colliding with a Semi-truck late Thursday morning. At around 11:08 a.m. Hesperia station deputies responded to the collision near the intersection of Rock Springs Road and Arrowhead Lake Drive officials said.
When they arrived the found the Long Beach woman and her 2001 Harley Davidson under the trailer of the truck. Although she sustained major injuries as a result of the collision, she remained conscious.
Deputies were able to determine that the motorcycle was driving northbound and the truck was driving southbound on Arrowhead Lake Drive. The truck driver, who had a red arrow, turned in the path of the motorcyclist onto Rock Springs Road.
The victim was taken to the Hesperia Airport where she was airlifted to Arrowhead Regional Medical treatment. Traffic on Arrowhead Lake Drive is being diverted onto Rock Springs Road while deputies continue the investigation. The Hesperia Sheriff’s Station officials ask those driving through the area to remain patient and be cautious when driving through the area.
