SPRING VALLEY LAKE, CA. – A man was stabbed multiple times during a custody exchange with his ex-wife, who was with her boyfriend, police said.
On Saturday, September 14, 2019, deputies were alerted by hospital staff at Desert Valley Hospital about a 25-year-old man who sustained several stab wounds to his neck and upper back. At around 7:40 p.m. the ex-wife, Rudy Esperanza Ruvalcaba, 24, of Hesperia, allegedly went to the victim’s home with her boyfriend in the 12900 block of Norfolk Lane in Spring Valley Lake for a custody exchange.
For reasons which remain unclear, the victim and Ruvalcaba’s boyfriend began fighting. As the two fought, Ruvalcaba approached the victim and stabbed him repeatedly. Family meeeputies located and arrested Ruvalcaba for attempted murder. The knife was located in the suspect’s vehicle.
Rudy Esperanza Ruvalcaba was booked at High Desert Detention Center where she is being held in lieu of $1,000,000.00 bail.
