ENID, Okla. – A Victorville man died as a result of a fatal Enid, Oklahoma traffic collision Wednesday morning. At around 6:10 a.m. Manuel Soto, 63 who was the sole occupant of the 2011 Ford Edge was driving westbound on US Highway 412 and he turned south onto 78th Street.
A 1995 semi-truck, driven by a 50-year-old Del City, Oklahoma man was heading eastbound on US Highway 412 and hit the passenger door of the Soto’s vehicle trapping him in the vehicle for over four hours, Oklahoma Highway Patrol officials said.
The driver of the semi-truck was uninjured. Enid fire officials extricated Soto who was pronounced dead at the scene of the collision. Both drivers were wearing seatbelts at the time of the collision, the cause of the collision remains under investigation by the Oklahoma Highway Patrol.
