VICTORVILLE – The 5-year-old girl who was allegedly abducted by her grandmother on Friday afternoon has been located.
Aleysha Martinez-Ruiz was last seen with her maternal grandmother, Luz Maria Garza-Ramones on Friday, July 21, 2017 at around 3:00 p.m. at 15251 Seneca Road in the city of Victorville. Authorities believed that Garza-Ramones, who was visiting from Monterrey, Mexico abducted the Aleysha and was heading back to Mexico with her. Garza-Ramones who had no vehicle of her own was believed to possibly be using public transportation.
On Sunday, June 23, 2017, Victorville Detectives were notified that Aleysha was located unharmed by Mexican officials in Mexicali with her grandparents. Mexico’s Children and Family Services will be working with Aleysha’s mother to reunite them. Detectives will forward the abduction case to the San Bernardino District Attorney, Child Abduction Unit, for review.
