Adelanto Man Wanted for Stealing Vehicle

HESPERIA – A 25-year-old Adelanto man, who is known to use dating sites to seek victims is wanted for a recent car theft. On October 2, 2016, just before 7:15 a.m. deputies from the Hesperia station were dispatched to the 12000 block of Oakwood Avenue in the City of Hesperia for a stolen vehicle.

According to the victim, the suspect, Allan Soto, who was an acquaintance stole his black 2011 Volkswagen Jetta 4-door sedan. He said that Soto took his keys from his hotel room and left in his vehicle. Later in the day, the victim noticed that unauthorized charges were made on using his credit cards.

Authorities said that Soto is known to frequent areas of both Adelanto and Victorville. He has two Ramey Warrants pending in other cities for similar crimes. Deputies believe that Soto may still be in possession of the Jetta, license plate #7LWS263.
