ADELANTO – An Adelanto man was arrested on Friday afternoon after a search of his home led deputies to a rifle and ammunition. At around 2:42 p.m. deputies from the Victor Valley Station arrived at an apartment located in the 13000 block of Lee Avenue in the City of Adelanto.
While at the home, they made contact with the suspect, 45-year-old Antonio Demetrius Bethell. During the search, they found a rifle and ammunition and since Bethell is on active parole, he was arrested for the possession.
Bethell was booked into the High Desert Detention Center for being a felon in possession of the firearm and ammunition. He is being held in lieu of $50,000 bail and is scheduled to appear at the Victorville Superior court on Tuesday afternoon.
