APPLE VALLEY – The suspect involved in a CVS strong arm robbery on Tuesday morning has been arrested. At around 11:20 a.m., a delivery driver parked the delivery van in the parking lot of the Apple Valley CVS located at 20180 State Highway 18.
As the delivery man was loading his dolly with medications to be delivered to the store and the approximately 6’3” tall suspect approached him, and pushed the van door into him causing the driver to fall inside of the van. The suspect ran with the dolly and began to load the items into his blue 1998 Ford Expedition. The driver went to the suspect in an attempt to stop him, but the suspect reached toward his waistband and said that he would shoot him. The suspect fled toward Rancherias Road.
On Wednesday morning at around 9:30 a.m. a search warrant was served at an apartment located at 15535 Broken Bow Road. During the search, the stolen property was located and the suspect, identified as 25-year-old Devontay McBee was arrested and booked into the High Desert Detention Center where he is being held in lieu of $100,000 bail. McBee is scheduled to appear at the Victorville Superior Court on Friday afternoon for an arraignment hearing.
