VICTORVILLE – A Fontana man and woman were arrested after threatening school officials and possessing weapons in the school zone on Tuesday.
On May 29, 2018, at around 3:00 p.m., School Resource Officers responded to Silverado High School, located on the 14000 block of Cobalt Road in the City of Victorville for a disturbance. When they arrived they learned that Melvin Lesure Jr, 31, and Jisel Lee, 18, both of Fontana had gone to the school to retaliate against a student who fought their niece. Security responded to diffuse the situation, but the two suspects threatened and pushed them. In order to detain Lesure, security used their pepper spray. Lee and the niece ran toward their vehicle. Security was able to detain all three while deputies responded.
When deputies arrived they took Lesure and Lee into custody. During a search, deputies located an electronic stun gun, pepper spray, and a loaded 40 caliber semi-automatic handgun. Both were booked at the High Desert Detention Center Lee, for Threatening School Officials and Lesure, for Possession of a Firearm in a School Zone. Both are being held in lieu of $25,000 and are scheduled to appear at the Victorville Superior Court on Thursday, May 31, 2018.
