HIGHLAND – A 23-year-old Colton woman was arrested following a second pursuit on Tuesday night. During the first pursuit, the pursuit was terminated due to heavy traffic in the area making the pursuit unsafe for motorists. At around 9:24 p.m. deputies received a call for service in the 29100 block of Rosewood Lane in the City of Highland. The reporting party told dispatchers that subject believed to be squatters were loading a vehicle with property from the home.
Deputies from the Highland Station responded to the area and on the way, they saw a vehicle that matched the description of the vehicle driving on Baseline towards the 210 freeway. The deputy initiated a traffic stop. The driver pulled over for the passenger to get out and then continued driving on the westbound 210 freeway. The California Highway Patrol took over the pursuit in the City of Rancho Cucamonga.
The vehicle exited the freeway in the City of Pasadena and collided with three vehicles. The pursuit came to an end in the city of Pasadena after the vehicle exited the freeway and collided with three vehicles. No one was injured as a result of the collision. Shawnice Hershkovitz, who was already on active probation for forgery was taken into custody. Authorities were unable to make contact with her male passenger who exited the vehicle at the beginning of the pursuit.
Hershkovitz was booked into the Central Detention Center in San Bernardino for felony evading and a probation violation.
