VICTORVILLE, CA. – A 17-year-old Victorville teen was killed after shots were fired at a house party on Sunday.
At around 12:14 a.m. deputies from the Victorville station responded to a home in the 17000 block of Jurassic Place for the report of shots heard. When deputies arrived they found Jamari Tyson lying on the sidewalk suffering from a gunshot wound. Tyson was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Homicide detectives arrived to assume the investigation. Through investigation, they learned that there was a party at the home. Two or more of the subjects at the party began arguing leading to the shots being fired. Novel Williams, 19, was identified as the shooter and an arrest warrant was obtained. Shortly after 3:50 p.m. on Sunday, Williams was located at a home in the 15300 block of Baxter Street in the City of Victorville. Williams was transported to the High Desert Detention Center in Adelanto and was booked for Murder. He is being held in lieu of $1 million bail.
