Arrest Made in Homicide of Pomona Woman and Her Dog

POMONA, Calif. – An arrest has been made for the murder of a 58-year-old Pomona woman and her dog.

On March 18, 2019, at around 6:50 a.m. Pomona police responded to the report of a suspicious death inside an apartment at the Serenity Villas Apartments located at 150 E. Bonita Avenue. Homicide investigators responded to find Ronny Wall and her dog deceased inside the home. During the investigation, obvious signs of a struggle and intentionally lit fire were found. Witness statements and physical evidence was collected at the scene leading investigators to the victim’s boyfriend, 50-year-old Chaumon Tyner.

Tyner was arrested outside of his home in the City of Inglewood and was booked into a Pomona jail. The District Attorney’s office filed charges including murder, arson of an inhabited dwelling, and Animal cruelty against Tyner.
