Authorities Arrest Two Women Suspected of Stealing an Elderly Woman’s Wallet

PERRIS– Two women suspected of stealing an elderly woman’s wallet were arrested by the Menifee Police Department.

On Tuesday, February 20th, 2018 at around 6:00 p.m., Menifee police were called to a Stater Brothers grocery store located at 29061 Newport Road, in the city of Menifee. Investigators were responding to a suspected wallet theft of an 85-year-old female resident of Menifee.  

The elderly woman sought out a manager to see if they could help her locate her wallet.  Trying to help the elderly woman the manager checked the store camera’s and witnessed a suspect identified as Domonique Porche Richmond a 26-year-old resident of San Bernardino reach into the elderly woman’s purse and take her wallet.  

The footage of the incident was viewed by investigators and they determined that Richmond did not act alone.  An additional suspect in the theft was identified as 44-year-old Deidre Yvonne Smith also a resident of San Bernardino.

On Wednesday, February 28, 2018, members of the Menifee Police Burglary and Theft Suppression Team located the suspects and they were arrested on a violation of parole and other additional pending charges.
