SAN BERNARDINO – A San Bernardino man and Rialto woman were arrested after a dangerous pursuit ends in a crash on Friday. At around 1:26 a.m. deputies attempted to stop a gray GMC Yukon in the area of Del Rosa and Highland Avenues for vehicle code violations.
The driver of the Yukon sped up driving away from the patrol vehicle. The driver, later identified as Andrew Redmond, 35, drove on the wrong side of the road and continued driving in an erratic and reckless manner, subsequently crashing into a tree in the parking lot of the Sheriff’s Headquarters. Andrews attempted to drive away but was blocked by the pursuing deputies. Andrews, who was found to be on Post Release Community Supervision (PRCS) for a prior incident resisting a police officer had an outstanding warrant for his arrest for Larceny. Christina Alva, 35, was also arrested as a result of an outstanding warrant for her arrest for the possession of dangerous drugs.
Both were booked into the West Valley Detention Center for felony evading and their outstanding warrants.
