ADELANTO, Calif. – Authorities are investigating the death of a 35-year-old Adelanto man who died as a result of a gunshot wound on Friday, July 5, 2019.
At around 2:16 a.m. deputies from the Adelanto Station responded to an incident in the 10600 block of Bonanza Road in the City of Adelanto. The reporting party said that a man with blood on him was in front of the home. When they arrived they found the man inside the garage who was suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. Deputies located a 41-year-old Whittier man inside the home and he was detained.
Emergency medical personnel arrived at the home and determined that the male victim had died as a result of his injuries. Detectives from the Specialized Investigations Division, Homicide Detail, responded to the scene to conduct the investigation.
No arrests have been made; the investigation is ongoing. Additional information will be released when it becomes available.
