VICTORVILLE, Ca. – A 45-year-old Victorville man was shot dead near his motorcycle on Saturday evening.
At around 7:15 p.m., deputies from the Victorville station responded to an apartment complex in the 16100 block of Pebble Beach Drive in the City of Victorville for a possible traffic collision involving a motorcycle. When they arrived, along with emergency medical personnel they located a victim who was unresponsive. They quickly learned that he had been shot. Lifesaving efforts were made, but the victim, identified as Victorville resident, Shane Walker, died at the scene.
The crime scene was secured and Homicide Detectives responded to assume the investigation.
This is an ongoing investigation, investigative teams remain onscene. The suspect fled prior deputies arrival and remains outstanding. Detectives are working to identify and locate the suspect and any witnesses.
