VICTORVILLE – Deputies are seeking the public’s help to locate a narcotics transportation suspect, who escaped from the back of a marked patrol unit at the Victorville Police Department on Sunday evening. At around 5:27 p.m. an arrestee by the name of Charles Brown, 31, of Adelanto fled the area on foot.
Brown was arrested at 4:10 p.m. and was taken to the Victorville Police Department to be interviewed by deputies. While he was in the backseat, he somehow slipped his hand out of the handcuffs to exit the patrol car. An extensive search, using ground, aviation, and a K-9 unit, but Brown was not located. Brown is 6’0 tall, 160-170 pounds, and he has short black hair and brown eyes. Brown also has a tattoo of “B” on the bridge of his nose between his eyes. He was last seen wearing black sweatpants, a white shirt, and a black Nike Air Force One.
