HIGHLAND – Deputies from the Highland Station are seeking two Colton sisters following a Monday evening pursuit. At 6:10 p.m. on Monday, March 6, 2017, deputies were dispatched to the 29100 block of Rosewood Lane for the report of squatters in a home in the area. A Deputy from the Highland Station arrived at the home and made contact with some of the residents.
While talking to the residents, one of them pointed out a woman as she drove up the street in a black Dodge Dart without license plates. The deputy stopped the vehicle and identified the driver as Shawnice Hershkovitz, 23. As he went back to his vehicle to further investigate, Herskovitz fled the scene in the vehicle. He followed behind and onto the westbound 210 freeway. A Sheriff’s helicopter was called in to assist, but due to the high traffic during that time, the pursuit was terminated at Archibald Avenue.
The investigation is ongoing and a warrant has been issued for Shawnice Hershkovitz’ arrest. Hershkovitz was found to be on active probation for forgery. Shawnice Hershkovitz sister, Destiny Hershkovitz, 22, was learned to be the owner of the Dodge Dart. Authorities are also seeking her whereabouts because she is wanted for an outstanding felony arrest warrant for Larceny.
Anyone with information on this case or the suspect’s whereabouts is asked to contact Deputy D. Moreno of the Highland Police Department at (909) 425-9793.
