At around 2:26 a.m. deputies attempted to stop a vehicle that was reported stolen on Thursday, March 23, 2017, during a home invasion robbery at a home in the 6400 block of Goleta Avenue in Yucca Valley. The vehicle was traveling west on Twentynine Palms Highway near Midway Road. The driver failed to yield and fled the scene at speeds near 100 miles per hour into Yucca Valley.
The vehicle was eventually stopped when spike strips were deployed by deputies and the CHP officers.
