RIVERSIDE – A distraught woman was is safe this morning after barricading herself in the bathroom of a Riverside home on Tuesday night.
Police were notified of the situation in the 4500 block of Tomlinson Avenue in the City of Riverside at around 11:50 p.m. The report indicated that the woman was violent, distraught, armed with a knife and locked inside the bathroom. Authorities arrived and set up a plan to safely resolve the situation. Emergency medical personnel waited nearby to provide treatment for anyone injured as a result of the incident.
An Emergency Negotiators (ENT) officer responded and began talking with the woman. Moments later, the woman disarmed herself and exited the bathroom.
