BARSTOW – Barstow juveniles are now able to learn a skill that may help protect them in the future and can help build self-esteem all free of charge. The Barstow Police Activities League (PAL) Judo Club had their very first practice on Monday, March 12, 2018, and although they had an amazing turnout, they are inviting more people to get involved.
Taught by Sensei Bill and Sensei Danny, the students were taught new moves and had a fun time while learning. The PAL Judo Club is free to anyone would like to join, those wishing to join can pick up a sign up sheet or stop by the Judo Club during hours of operation to sign up. Training is at the Barstow Mall located at 1892 E. Main Street on Mondays and Wednesdays, beginners from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. and advance classes from 7:00 p.m. – 8:30 p.m.
